Protecting the back as well as the front
Much of Skelmersdale was built as a new town in the 1960s and 1970s, with footpaths running between and behind the houses rather than streets. That makes the back and sides of many homes easy to reach on foot, so we pay as much attention to the rear doors and garden as the front.
A camera covering the back garden or path and contacts on the rear doors make a real difference here, alongside a visible bell box at the front.

Skelmersdale questions
All questionsMy back garden opens onto a footpath. What do you recommend?
Cover the back door with a contact, put a sensor in the room behind it, and add a camera covering the garden and gate. With phone alerts, you will know if anyone comes into the garden, not just the house.
Do you give free quotes?
Yes. Quotations are free and there is no obligation. For a new alarm or CCTV system, Dean will usually come and look at the property first, so the price is based on your actual home and not a guess.
What is the 12 months’ call-out cover?
Every service comes with 12 months’ free call-out cover for faults. If your alarm develops a fault in the year after we service it, we come out without a call-out charge. Parts are not included, and we will always tell you what a part costs before fitting it.
Why does my house alarm keep going off for no reason?
The usual causes are a flat or failing backup battery, a sensor that is dusty, faulty or picking up pets, spiders or a heater, a door or window contact that has worked loose, or damp getting into the bell box. A tamper fault can also set it off. We test each part of the system to find the real cause, rather than just resetting it.
